The H171N is a "convertible" headset. It comes with accessories so it can be worn either On-the-Ear (only) or Over-the-Head (with headband).

NOTE: Plantronics will be discontinuing the DuoPro Series Headsets and replacing it with an "All-in-One" Headset: the H171 and H171N. The Behind-the-Neck wearing style (H181/H181N) will still be available. The "Behind-the-Neck Headband" can be purchased as an accessory => Click HERE and it will attached to the H171 or H171N
