Use this HIS-1 cord to connect any Plantronics H-series headset directly to your Avaya 9600 Series IP telephone headset port. This provides you with "on-hook" functionality so that you won't have to lift your telephone handset off the receiver for every call when using your Plantronics headset. Only purchase this cable if you have one of the phone models listed above. You will NOT need to purchase a Plantronics amplifier. This cord is all you need to connect your Plantronics H-series headset to your phone. The cord has a modular plug at one end and a QuickDisconnect at the other end which connects to any Plantronics Call Center headsets (H-Series).
The HIS cable (72442-01) is a lightweight enhanced version of existing HIC and HIP cables for Avaya 2400/6400 and 4600 phones and is the only Avaya certified headset cable for 9600, 9610, 9620, 9630, 9640, 9650 one-X series deskphones. The HIC cable is made with small coiled cable that is ultra light in weight and longer in length (about 15 feet).
