Jabra had been always trying its best to keep updated devices with the latest technology in hard hardware and software. This tendency includes as well the taking care of our planet thru a conscious plan on mind in how to help lower its foot print with their new headsets. And today we will explain the benefits of the Engage SE (Second Edition) headsets compared with the previous generation.

Jabra’s main direction is to offer the best quality products for its clientele and by doing this they have the plan to lower all the excessive damaging materials used in their products and on their packing. The first thing to notice on Jabra’s packing would be the use of less coloring, with the main intention of assuring that their packing can be recycled properly and not simply tossed away. For same reason, now the new packing of their units will be with less waste, this on the same philosophy of wasting less un needed plastics that will end on landfills or oceans.

Regarding their headsets, the new Engage SE headsets differ from the previous generation first by the distinctive Titanium black color scheme on the  headset and metallic parts of the headset. This allows the headset to be more discrete and elegant at sight, without the well know performance of Jabra’s  microphones that when compared with other brands you can easily hear the difference on sound coming out from user thanks to Jabra’s Advanced noise-cancelling microphone and enhanced speakers that
deliver crystal-clear calls in any lousy office environment.

Another noticeable and grateful appreciated upgrade on the headsets will be the new USB-C port on the headset that takes place of the outdated Micro-USB port. This following EU mandates that estipulate that all electronics now they need to use the universal USB-C  which can be found from small devices as smart phones to laptops. Thanks to this new update the headsets offer faster charging than before, up to 40% than the previous generation, delivering a full charge of the headset in 90 minutes if the battery of it is completely dead. Thanks to the Voice over USB feature, the headsets can still be used on a computer for example without compromise of microphone or speakers performance. Making the Engage SE headsets an ally for users always on the move and in need to have a lightweight headset to jump in Zoom or Teams meetings.

On the left side you can see the USB-C port and on the right side the Micro USB port for reference. Micro USB cables and devices are being harder to get now these days as the USB-C port and cable/adapters had been predominant after the mandate took place.

The USB-C plug can be found on the new Engage SE bases for desk phones. For same reason if you have an older Engage headset, including the first generations, these will not be compatible with the new bases and vice versa.

Left side we have the Engage 65 SE Base while on the right side is the Engage 75 SE Base
