Corded Headsets:
FROM JABRA:
For an entry level solution we can recommend the Jabra Biz 1500 Mono Direct Connect Headset. Thanks to its easy to use mode and on top of that Jabra’s Smart cord this would be a corded solution covering one ear. The noise canceling microphone from Jabra can block up to 60% of unwanted noises to the other end of the call, simply plug it in the headset port of the phone and by pressing the headset port on the phone and pressing the headset key on the phone and this will pen the channel on the headset. If you hear static or no dial tone, it is where the Smart cord makes the magic, simply switch over the position in the adjustment side to the next one until hear tone and best sound coming to the headset.
On a better built in quality we find the Jabra Biz 2300 Duo Binaural Direct Connect Headset. This alternative is suggested for louder environments as it covers both ears in a true stereo sound quality. The Biz 2300 headset has a Kevlar reinforcement in the internal wiring of the headset and the headset by itself that translates in a longer lasting unit with lighter weight and with more tolerance on office “accidents”. Thanks to its smart cord adapter makes it easy to plug into the port and find the best sound by using one of the position settings on the side of it. Thanks to its Quick Disconnect allows the user to step away from the desk and take the headset with them so no need to put it on and off constantly. Flexible 360 degree boom arm with Air Shock microphone that blocks the penetration of air when engage on a call, specially when having the microphone closer to the mouth.
For people looking for the best microphone on the best wearing style we have the Jabra Biz 2400 II Mono Direct Connect 3-in-1 UNC Headset. This is a convertible style headset with different wearing styles including over the head, over the ear or behind the neck. We find the Jabra’s Ultra Noise Canceling Microphone, being the best one in the market and as the 2300 sibling comes with Kevlar reinforcement on the wiring and on the headset for a long lasting and lighter experience when on a call. Leatherette ear cushion is a nice touch on the Biz 2400 II which is a welcome upgrade for a whole day use. Thanks to Jabra’s smart cord allows you to use this headset on the headset port and to find the best sound quality by triggering the different settings on the side of it.
FROM POLY:
On poly case is advised to use an external amplifier as the sound quality would be better and welcomed by people all day long on calls. For this scenario we recommend the Plantronics M22 Vista Amplifier and the Plantronics HW540 EncorePro 540 Headset. With the use of these 2 items will allow you to modulate the volume and mute the microphone from the M22. Designed for all day and heavy use on call centers. The HW540 headset can be customized with either foam or leatherette ear cushions.
For a better built headset on a louder environment, we recommend the Plantronics M22 Vista Amplifier and the Plantronics HW720 EncorePro Noise canceling Headset. The HW720 is a nice upgrade in the EncorePro family with leatherette ear cushions and a retractable microphone boom arm that is appreciated by users on a whole day use so the microphone can be positioned in the best position so customers can hear every word. As with the previous EncorePro headset, the HW720 can be customized with leatherette or foam ear cushions, we find a lightweight headset with a weight of only 78 grams and we find Plantronics SoundGuard technology, which protects the user from sounds above 118dBA.
