Plantronics CS70 CS70NC Battery
Your Plantronics CS70 or CS70N wireless headset battery died or dying? Unfortunately Plantronics do not make a user replaceable battery for the CS70 series. You can send it in Plantronics repair center. At our last estimate from Plantronics, the cost of the battery replacement + labor will unfortunately exceed the cost of buying a brand new earpiece. Your best option is to replace the earpiece itself, see HERE which includes a brand new battery. (CS70 earpiece is no longer available. CS70N will work on the CS70 base) The same Scenario with the new CS530, you have to replace it with a CS530 earpiece.
The typical life of a CS70/CS530 battery is about 2-4 years depending on usage. So once you replace the earpiece, you’re good for another 2-4 years.
If you don’t like the idea of having to replace the earpiece every few years, look at the CS540 model instead. It does have a battery you can simple replace for only $39. It’s a different style headset you can also wear it on-the-ear similar to the CS70, CS70N, or CS530.
