What is Poly Lens?
Poly Lens is Poly's headset software for managing Poly headsets, and the app you install is now called the HP Poly Studio App. HP renamed the Poly Lens Desktop, Mobile and Room apps on January 5, 2026. The basic service is free: download it from HP's Poly Studio App page for Windows or Mac, or from the App Store or Google Play for your phone.
Which version to get
- Windows or Mac: the Poly Lens desktop app, now HP Poly Studio Desktop. HP's download page has separate buttons for Windows, Windows ARM and macOS.
- iPhone or Android: HP Poly Studio Mobile, the Poly headset app for your phone, from the App Store or Google Play.
- A work PC you can't install on: the Poly Lens web app, which runs in Chrome or Edge.
- IT managing a fleet: Poly Lens Cloud, which kept the Poly Lens name.
Where to find the Poly Lens download now
The download buttons are on HP's Poly Studio App page at hp.com: one for Windows and Windows ARM, one for macOS, and links to the Apple App Store and Google Play for the mobile app. That page now says in plain words that the HP Poly Studio App has replaced the Poly Lens App, so if you searched for the Poly Lens app download, this is the same software under its new name.
On a Mac, the Poly Lens Mac download is the macOS button on the same page. Windows ARM laptops are supported too, which the old Poly Lens Desktop never was.
No install needed: the Poly Lens web app
If you can't install software on your computer, use the Poly Lens web app at webapp.lens.poly.com instead. It runs in Chrome, ChromeOS and Edge, and works with Poly's Blackwire, EncorePro and Voyager headsets and their USB adapters. Poly supports signing in with a Microsoft, Google or Apple account.
What changed when Poly Lens became the HP Poly Studio App
Only the apps changed. HP renamed the Poly Lens Desktop, Mobile and Room apps to HP Poly Studio on January 5, 2026, and says Poly Lens Cloud and its device management did not change. That split is why both names are still in use: Poly Lens is the cloud service IT uses, and HP Poly Studio is the app on your desk or phone.
The desktop app picked up light and dark modes, calendar integration, support for HP docks, displays and AI PCs, redesigned wellbeing reminders and better accessibility. The mobile app gained quick settings on each device's page.
Why Poly Lens Desktop didn't update itself
HP set it up that way. Poly Lens Desktop does not upgrade itself to the HP Poly Studio version, even where a company's policy says to always run the latest version, so you move across by installing the new app. If you're still on Poly Lens Desktop 1.x, it takes two steps: upgrade to version 2.3.1 first, then to Poly Studio Desktop 5.0.
Updating your headset with the app
Connect the headset, or its USB adapter, and the desktop app shows you when a software update is waiting for it. Two quirks from Poly's release notes are worth knowing. Before version 5.1.0, a Poly BT700 adapter could show an update that wasn't actually there, so update the app first if yours keeps asking. And on a Poly Voyager Focus, the option to change the voice prompt language only appears once the headset is on its latest firmware.
After an update or a settings change, a quick headset audio test confirms the mic and both earpieces still sound right.
