History of Headsets

During 1960s, Bell System’s system board machinists were left feeling lethargic due to their uneasy, weighty headsets, due to which a high percentage of machinists had to take to doing neck-strengthening drills so that they could again be in a position to use those headsets.
Plantronics gave Bell machinists the identical MS-50 aircraft headset for application. Thereafter quite a handful of machinists asked for headsets that instead of fitting over the head, sat around the ear. For this - StarSet headset was brought out in the year 1970.
