Cisco VoiP Phone Headset Compatibility

Poly (Plantronics) Cisco Headsets: (see below for Jabra Compatible Cisco Headsets).
Poly has a wide variety of products made exclusively for Cisco IP phones. Most Cisco IP phones have a dedicated headset port built-in which you can plug a headset directly into. Please see our Direct connect Cisco headset page for the latest headsets recommended for your Cisco phone.
Cisco Unified IP Phones 69xx, 794x, 796x, 797x series (Cisco models 6921, 6941, 6945, 6961, 7821, 7841, 7861, 7931G, 7940, 7940G, 7941, 7941G, 7942G, 7945, 7945G, 7960, 7960G, 7961, 7961G, 7965G, 7970, 7970G, 7971G, 7975G, 7985G, 8941, 8945, 8961, 9951, 9971): see our Poly Cisco Headsets page, which all have the Cisco “-CIS” part number. These headsets are per-configured with a RJ9 modular plug so they are compatible with the headset port of your Cisco IP telephone.
Cisco IP Phone 7902G, 7905G, 7910G+SW and 7912G, you will need the Plantronics H-Series headsets + Plantronics M22 Vista amplifier. These phone models does not have a dedicated headset port and requires the use of an amplifier.

Cisco Compatible Plantronics Wireless Headset Systems: Wireless headsets are design to be installed into the “handset” (not headset) port of your Cisco IP phone:
- Plantronics CS540 Wireless Headset, Convertible Headset (our most popular)
This particular model is considered the entry level for a wireless headset for your desk phone, with a convertible wearing style, allowing the user to wear it over the head or over the ear and with the lightest weight on the market.
On the next step up, we have the Savi 7210 with an over the head wearing style headband, with bigger ear cup and with a range of up to 400 feet on line of sight. This wireless headset is Telecoil Hearing aid compatible. Bendable noise canceling microphone boom arm can be found, allowing the user to adjust it in order to get the best outgoing sound.
For users looking something discrete, Poly offers the 5200 Office as the replacement of the outdated CS530. This is a Bluetooth Class 1 headset with a range of up to 250 feet, and offering multi connectivity, so this headset can be used with the desk phone, the computer and a Bluetooth enable device and can be taken out of the office and be used as a cell phone headset.
Poly offers the Focus 2 Office as an alternative for louder environments, as the headset has Digital Hybrid Active Noise Canceling (ANC) with different levels of graduation. The discrete microphone boom arm has Acoustic Fence Technology that is a much improved noise canceling reduction on the background. Multi connectivity can be found, allowing to use with desk phone, computer and a Bluetooth enable device and can be taken out of the office.

Cisco IP Phones Series 7940, 7941 7960, 7961, 7970G: use a Jabra Headset + GN Smart cord
Cisco IP Phone 7902G, 7905G, 7910G+SW and 7912G (Cisco phones without headset ports): you will need the GN Netcom Headset + Jabra Link 860 Digital Audio Processor/Amplifier
Cisco Compatible Jabra Wireless Headset Systems*: These wireless headsets are design to be installed into the “handset” port of your Cisco phone, even if you have a built-in headset port.
Jabra offers the Pro 920 as the entry level for a wireless headset, with a range of up to 325 feet on line of sight and a talk time of up to 8 hours of talk time in a single charge and easy setup thanks to the voice prompt guide that makes everything easier for no tech savvy people
For users wanting something lightweight and more discrete, Jabra offers the Engage 65 as an over the ear wearing style with a discrete microphone boom arm, with a range of up to 330 feet and talk time of up to 9 hours and offering dual connectivity, so this can be used with your desk phone and the computer. Microsoft Teams certified
For louder environments, Jabra offers the Engage 65 Stereo as an alternative for users wanting a true binaural stereo sound headset. With a range of up to 490 feet thanks to its higher chipset, offering higher encryption during calls and offering Jabra’s advance noise-cancelling microphones. Connectivity for the desk phone and the computer can be found on the base
One of the best headsets on the market from Jabra, the Engage 75 offers a range of up to 490 feet and thanks to advanced chipset offers higher encryption on the calls and 3X wireless density which means that more headset can be located in a single location without interference between them. Multi connectivity allows this to be used on the desk phone, 2 USB plugged computers and 2 Bluetooth enable devices as the base has that capability. Base includes a LCD touchpad that offers important information to the user and settings.

- For corded headsets and the amplifier you can add the Jabra On-Line Busy light as this will light up when on a call, useful if working in an open office environment
- For Cisco 6945, 7821, 7841, 7861, 7942G, 7945G, 7962G, 7965G, 7975G, 8811, 8841, 8851 you will need the Jabra Link 43 for remote answer on your wireless headset
- For remote answer on Cisco 8941, 8945 or 8945 you will need the Jabra Link 41
- GN 1000 RHL lifter is recommend if you need remote answering capabilities for all other Cisco desk phones
EPOS Cisco Headsets:
EPOS wireless headsets are fully compatible with all the Cisco desk phones.
EPOS offers the D10 II as the entry level wireless headset for your desk phone, with a range of up to 500 feet on line of sight, with a convertible wearing style and noise canceling microphone and with EPOS Voice technology for a clear and natural listening experience. EPOS offers the SDW 5015 as a convertible style headset that can be worn over the head, over the ear or behind the neck with the included accessories. With a range of up to 590 feet on line of sight and with a discrete microphone boom arm with noise canceling microphone. Built in busy light easily noticeable and offering dual connectivity with the desk phone and computer.
The SDW 5035 offers a over the head wearing style covering one ear, with a longer flexible microphone boom arm with noise canceling microphone. The SDW 5035 can be used with the desk phone and the computer as is Microsoft Teams certified.
The SDW 5066 would be the top of the chain on the EPOS lineup, offering a Stereo rich sound quality covering both ears. The Base offers multi connectivity to 3 devices, the desk phone, a computer and a Bluetooth enable device. Microsoft Teams certified for meetings thanks to its noise canceling microphone. Built in busy light that allows to let the user know the charge of the battery when resting on the magnetic base.

- For remote answer on Cisco 8941, 8945 or 8945 you will need the CEHS-CI 04 for the remote answer
- CEHS-CI 02 for Cisco 8800 series, 9900 series and the 8961 phone for remoter answer
- All other models from Cisco, including SPA models will need the HSL10 II for the remote answer capability
