The P171N is a "convertible" headset. It comes with accessories so it can be worn either On-the-Ear (only) or Over-the-Head (with headband).
NOTE: Plantronics will be discontinuing the DuoPro Series Headsets and replacing it with an "All-in-One" Headset: the P171 and P171N. The Behind-the-Neck wearing style (P181/P181N) will still be available. The "Behind-the-Neck Headband" can be purchased as an accessory
Plantronics P161 Polaris DuoPro headset is the most versatile headset ever! The stylish, innovative Plantronics DuoPro offers best-in-class sound quality. The P161 features an over-the-head wearing style, with advanced speaker technology for natural sounding conversations. New ergonomic innovations offer unsurpassed comfort.
Key Features:
- Superior voice tube technology
- Single earpiece headband style
- Unsurpassed comfort
- Innovative double T-pad headband for ultimate stability and comfort
- Rugged construction
- Voice-optimized speaker sound
Important Note: Plantronics Polaris Headsets can only be use with telephones with a headset jack built-in (ie. Nortel, NEC, etc). DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET WITH A VISTA M12 or M22 AMPLIFIER. If your phone does not have a headset jack and internal amplifier, then the Plantronics H-Series Headsets with an external amplifier such as the Plantronics Vista M22 are a good solution.
