Poly & Plantronics Headsets
Poly Headsets, Sorted by What You Plug Into
For a desk phone, the CS540 is a 21-gram wireless headset whose base plugs into the phone. For a laptop, start with the Voyager Focus 2. If you use both, the Savi 8240 connects to your desk phone, computer and mobile.
Plantronics headsets are sold as Poly now: Poly is the former Plantronics and Polycom, and HP bought it in 2022, which is why the newest models say HP Poly.

Poly Wireless Headsets
Among the Bluetooth Voyagers, the 4310 and 4320 are the everyday pair, mono and stereo, and their Class 1 adapter reaches up to 164 feet. The Voyager Focus 2 adds hybrid noise canceling with three levels, and the Focus 2 Office version adds a base for your desk phone. The Voyager Legend 50 replaces the Voyager 5200 with about three more hours of battery, and the Voyager Surround 80 was the first boomless headset to earn Microsoft's Teams Open Office certification.
Savi headsets use DECT through a base. The Savi 8240 covers desk phone, mobile and computer from one headset, and the Savi 8420 adds active noise canceling for open floors. The Savi 7310 and 7320 have no Bluetooth radio at all, built for banks, hospitals and government offices where Bluetooth is banned.
Poly Wired Headsets
For a computer, the Blackwire 3300 series is the everyday USB line, and the Teams-certified Blackwire 3320 adds a button that answers calls and joins meetings. The Blackwire 5210 and 5220 add a 3.5mm plug for your phone or tablet, and the Blackwire 8225 brings active noise canceling to a wired headset. The HP Poly Mission 425 is the next generation of the Blackwire 3225, a USB-C headset with a built-in USB-A adapter.
For desk phones, the EncorePro HW510, HW520, HW530, HW540, HW710 and HW720 connect through a quick disconnect cord, and the Polaris PW models pair those same headsets with an A10 cord. The EncorePro 310 and 320 add Dynamic Mute Alert, which warns an agent who starts talking while still on mute. For specialist work there is the SupraPlus SDS 2490 for 911 and radio dispatch, the SSP 2715 for staying live on two lines, and the PTH100, built with shielded cords for SpectraLink handsets.

Frequently Asked Questions
Spare Plantronics CS540 and Savi headsets are sold on their own for adding a second headset or replacing a lost one. A spare only works with its matching base: a Savi 8240 or 8245 spare needs a Savi 8240 or 8245 base.
