Bluetooth changes the security math — here's how

The Poly Savi 7410 wireless headset connects to a desk phone, a PC via USB-A or USB-C, and a mobile phone via Bluetooth — genuine 3-way connectivity with all three devices reachable from one base. That Bluetooth radio is the real difference from its sibling, the Savi 7310: the 7410 runs on 128-bit AES authentication, while the Bluetooth-free 7310 carries the higher 256-bit AES encryption tier. Adding Bluetooth isn't free from a security standpoint, and Poly's own spec sheet reflects that directly rather than claiming both models sit at the same tier.

A base built to work across your whole fleet

The Poly Savi 7410 wireless headset ships with Poly's Universal Office Base — a color display, dedicated PC/desk phone/Bluetooth selector buttons, and a side wheel for switching between connected devices or adjusting settings. The same base hardware also works with Savi 7300, Savi 8200, and Savi 8400 headset tops, which matters if IT is managing a mixed deployment: one base design to stock and support, even across different headset tiers.

Poly rates the Savi 7410 wireless headset at up to 2x the deployment density of standard DECT headsets — roughly 120 units in a typical office space, using newer compression and modulation to make more efficient use of available spectrum. Range reaches up to 590 ft line of sight, about 180 ft in a typical office once walls and cubicles are factored in. The noise-canceling microphone runs Poly Acoustic Fence technology — this is directional mic engineering that filters what your caller hears, not active noise cancellation for your own ears, so don't expect it to quiet a loud room around you the way ANC headphones do.

Battery, weight, and security certification

The Poly Savi 7410 wireless headset runs up to 13 hours of talk time per charge, with 50+ hours of standby, at a light 120g. It's built to DECT Security Step C — the highest security tier published by the DECT Forum — with FIPS 140-2 listed features backing the 128-bit AES authentication. SoundGuard DIGITAL caps sound exposure at 118dBA with G616 anti-startle protection, configurable through the Poly Lens desktop app.

This is the headset for an office that needs the mobile phone connection and is comfortable with strong — not maximum — DECT encryption to get it.
