Headset Lifter Bundle - CS540 + HL10

This is the CS540 wireless headset with an HL10 handset lifter in the box, so you can answer and end calls from across the room without touching the phone. Press answer on the headset and the HL10 lifts the handset off the cradle. End the call and it sets it back down. On its own, a CS540 can't do that with a plain corded phone: you'd have to lift the handset yourself. If your phone takes an EHS cable, you can buy the headset alone and skip the lifter.

The headset weighs 21 grams, which makes it one of the lightest DECT headsets built for desk phones, and it converts between wearing styles, so you can switch between over-the-ear and over-the-head as the day goes on. It's rated for up to 350 feet in a clear line of sight. Walls and furniture cut that down, and 75 to 100 feet is a fairer number for a typical office, which still covers the printer, the hallway and the break room. Talk time is up to 7 hours in narrowband mode and about 4 in wideband, so pick wideband for the clearer sound and narrowband for a long shift.

Because it runs on DECT instead of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, other wireless gear in the office won't compete with your calls. The noise-canceling mic keeps background chatter off the line, and SoundGuard limits sudden loud spikes in your ear. If two people need to be on the same call, up to three additional CS540 or Savi headsets can join it, and a new headset subscribes to the base just by docking.
