About Jorge
Jorge Gomez's job is working out which headset will actually work with the phone system a company already has. At HeadsetPlus he tests hardware from Poly, Jabra, Yealink and EPOS, along with the EHS cables and adapters that decide whether a headset can answer a call from across the room.
Most of that work is for IT teams fitting out a whole floor rather than one desk, usually on a mixed stack: some people on desk phones, some on Teams or Zoom, some doing both from home two days a week.
Nearly every guide on this site started as a question from one of those rollouts.
How I make recommendations
Most of my writing is compatibility work, and the honest answer is often that the headset someone is about to buy will not work with their phone. I would rather say that up front than process the return.
HeadsetPlus is an authorized reseller for Poly, Jabra, Yealink and EPOS, so the hardware I test is the same hardware we ship - not review samples on loan. Where a guide says a product is the wrong choice for a use case, it says so even when we stock it.
