The Yealink WH64 DECT Bluetooth Headset, Built for Two Worlds

Most wireless headsets make you pick a lane — DECT for range and reliability at your desk, or Bluetooth for mobility once you're away from it. The Yealink WH64 DECT Bluetooth Headset refuses to choose. It's the first headset in its class to build both radios into a single unit, so you get the range and security of DECT at your desk and the freedom of Bluetooth the moment you step away from it.

That matters more than it sounds like it should. Take a call at your desk on DECT, then walk to another building or head out for lunch, and the same headset keeps working over Bluetooth to your phone — no swapping devices, no losing the call.

Build the exact Yealink WH64 you need

Two choices here: how many ears you want covered, and which platform you're calling on most. Hardware inside each style is identical — only the earcup count and the certification change.

  • Mono (Models 1208672 / 1208671). Single earcup at 92g. The pick for shared-space offices where you want to hear the room while you're on a call.
  • Dual (Models 1208673 / 1208674). Stereo, both ears covered, 151g. The pick for open-plan or noisy environments where you want the call to block the room out, not blend with it.
  • UC Version. Optimized for major UC platforms — RingCentral, Zoom, Google Voice, 3CX, and others. The right call if your team isn't standardized on Teams.
  • Microsoft Teams Version. Formally certified for Microsoft Teams, with native Teams call controls on the base. Pick this if Teams is your primary platform.

DECT and Bluetooth range on the Yealink WH64

The Yealink WH64 offers up to 606 feet (185 meters) of DECT wireless range from the base, covering most office floors with room to spare. Switch to Bluetooth mode and you trade some of that range for portability — pairing directly to a phone or tablet without the base at all, useful for taking a call on the walk to the parking lot or from a different floor entirely.

Use DECT mode as your default at the desk — it's more resistant to interference in a building full of other wireless devices — and switch to Bluetooth only when you're actually leaving the DECT base's range.

Battery life by mode

Mono: 14 hrs DECT / 26 hrs Bluetooth talk time · Dual: 16 hrs DECT / 32 hrs Bluetooth talk time

Standby stretches to 157 hours on the Mono and 195 hours on the Dual, and a full recharge takes about 90 minutes. Leave it docked over a long weekend and it's still ready Monday without a top-up.

Noise cancellation on the Yealink WH64

Three built-in microphones and Yealink's Acoustic Shield Technology 2.0 filter out background noise before it reaches the person on the other end of the call — the algorithm is doing the work on the caller's side of the conversation, not yours, so you still hear your own room normally while they hear a clean line.

Comfort and busylight

Soft, breathable earcup materials are built for full-shift wear, and a lighter overall build than most DECT headsets in this range means less pressure over an 8-hour day. A busylight is built into both sides of the headset itself — visible whichever way someone approaches — with a jack on the base for an optional external Yealink busylight if you need visibility from further down the row.

The Mono and Dual versions aren't just a cosmetic choice — Dual genuinely trades some situational awareness for noise isolation. If you need to hear coworkers or a ringing desk phone while on a call, Mono is the more practical pick even in a louder office.

Desk phone and platform compatibility

The base connects to a PC and a compatible desk phone over USB, with an EHS62 adapter available separately for remote answer/end control on most third-party desk phone brands. Muting is a physical gesture — flip the boom arm up to mute, down to unmute — so you don't have to hunt for a button mid-call.

Either certification gets you the same hardware underneath: the Yealink WH64 earns its keep in the switch between desk and mobile that most headsets can't make without a second device in your bag.
