This headset gave a huge boost to my ability to be productive and participate in teleconferences. With travel budget restrictions, my office emphasizes teleconferences. Unlike lighter headsets, that have only one earpeice that rests on the ear, this headset radically cuts external noise and distractions, allowing me to focus solely on the call and discern weaker sounds I couldn't hear or understand before. This is especially important when listening to teleconferences when the person speaking is distant from the microphone. I paired this with the Vista/M22 amplifier because it covered more of the audio spectrum and the broader frequency range really helps understanding others, especially higher pitched, rapid, low volume voices. The sound quality improved after several days of use, I've read this is common as a "burn in" time is needed for higher end headsets. This headset may seem huge to some and they may find this headset a bit warm or heavy compared to much lighter models, especially bluetooth. I'm used to it from aviation and think the sound improvement is well worth the extra bulk. My office environment is a cubicle farm, with desks in groups of four surrounded by head high partitions. Nearby is a military runway.
