First, I get excellent sound quality. I use it for conference
calls every day, and the other conferees say that they can
hear me really well, much better than a former cordless (Uniden)
phone also at 2.4 Ghz.
Next, I have a wireless 802.11b network, based on a Linksys
WET11. Yes it can totally shut down the network, but if I push
the "chan" button while attempting to transmit data on the
network, after several pushes it seems to find a set of channels
(it uses spread spectrum) that allows me to talk and use the
network at the same time. I found that an even more reliable
method is to be accessing a webpage or somesuch at the same time
that I push the "talk" button. In that situation it consistently
chooses a channel combination that coexists peacefully with my
network. In fact I know I've hit the right combination because
I hear a small amount of static in the headset when transferring
data over the network. Oh, and by the way I have my wireless-b
channel set to 11.
Overall I'm very pleased with the phone.
