This is the Plantronics SSP 2714-01 Bluetooth Adapter (dongle). The main purpose of this adapter is for connecting Bluetooth hearing aids to a desktop office phone (and computer) using the Plantronics MDA200 .  It's been test to work with Phonak, Oticon and Starkey SurfLink Bluetooth hearing aid pendant systems, and more.   Plantronics SSP-2714 is a version of the Plantronics BT300  that has a lower security level (56bit), needed for older Bluetooth hearing aid systems..  This is a Plantronics special order product*, call for availability.  If you know your hearing aid Bluetooth is 128bit, you can use  Plantronics BT300 instead.

*Bluetooth hearing aid pendant required for voice transmission

Instructions to Pair Bluetooth hearing aid with this Plantronics SSP2714-01 dongle:

  1. Put the bluetooth hearing aid pendant/neck loop  into pairing mode
  2. The Plantronics SSP 2714-01 should discover the device and turn solid blue
  3. Then hit the telephone button on the top of the MDA200 which should get the adapter flashing blue
